Do Horses Gossip? People Sure Do.
Queen of the Night was a massive, massive horse—far bigger than any other Boucle at ODFS, if anything, almost the size of Griev. And it wasn’t all leg, like the Capaill Uisce—this mare was enormous, in build as well as height. At the moment, her four large, feathered wings were tucked against her body, the bottom two folded neatly underneath the upper pair, but usually they just added to her striking bulk. She had her head down, shaking her neck to cover all of it in the water from the hose that Sarah was spraying on her. Queen quite enjoyed a good hose-down, even if it was sometimes a challenge to make sure that her long Rapunzel mane and tail didn’t pick up dirt from the wash-stall floor in the process, because that was never fun to clean out. Soaking wet like this, her mane and tail looked almost pitch black, with the faintest hint of green where, when dry, there was an entire Aurora Borealis displayed across the thick sheets of hair.
